Craney bid rejected

Coleman was very upset as he had been targeting Craney for a while and chairman Eric Whalley was surprised as he thought that the offer was extremely resonable.
"The young lad was very keen to come and join us as a full time professional footballer.  Maybe they think that we have money to throw around, however I can assure everyone that this is not the case, in fact it wasn't our intention to spend any money at all on transfer fees."
In any case, Stanley are near to finalising deals with one or two of their summer targets following succesful talks and they are expected to sign in the next week or so.
