The midfielder made a welcome return to the Stanley team sheet for the away fixture against Aldershot Town after overcoming a cruciate knee ligament injury.
He expressed his delight at being back from the injury, that sidelined the youngster for three months, and hoped that the club can benefit from his return.
“It's brilliant to be back. It's done my head in training by myself, and only being able to watch games has been frustrating as well, so its good to have a bit of banter with the lads again.
“I was pleasantly surprised to start because I didn't think I would be, never mind playing the full game.
“I think it was as much to do with the adrenaline than anything else.”
And Proctor believes that the rehabilitation has helped him to become a stronger player.
“I've spent a lot of time in the gym and now I'm stronger than when I first got the injury.
“Coley told me there that it would get stronger and fitter as well.”
