Ikeme: Keeper on loan from Wolves
The home team made the perfect start when Hackworth put the Boro one nil up in the third minute.

Robbie Williams fowled Senior on the edge of the area five minutes later and it cost Stanley as the resulting free-kick was put away by Redfearn.

Scarborough were two nil up now but Stanley started putting a little pressure on their defence and goalkeeper Walker was forced to save a good powerful header from a corner but it was Scarborough that got the next goal as Nicholson hit a screamer into the top-corner leaving Ikeme with no chance.

Three nil up within 15 minutes and the home fans were expecting more when two corners in quick succession were cleared by Stanley but Scarborough were desperate for a fourth.

The second half saw Stanley start to play better football and early in the half McEvilly forced the home stopper into a great save just minutes into the second period.

The game was all but won for Scarborough and so Stanley started piling players forward to get a consolation and Mullin and McEvilly both came agonisingly close, both hitting the woodwork in the space of two minutes.

Brannan came close but the home goalkeeper held his shot well and was putting in a good performance to match the players playing outfield. But despite the score line Stanley loan-keeper Carl

Ikeme in action
Ikeme was not having a bad game and he prevented Scarborough form going four nil up on several occasions, most notably when his superb one-handed save kept out Redfearn's close range header on 52 minutes.

But the fourth finally came for the home side when Senior grabbed his second of the game with a header which followed two good headers from Jon Smith sailing just wide.

Paul Cook came on for Proctor in an attempt to add experience to the Stanley midfield. Brannan came close to scoring directly from a corner but Walker saved well and that was the last action of the match.

The score line doesn't fairly reflect the match as, although Scarborogh deserved this win, Stanley put their defence under a lot of pressure and could have had a goal or two but Stanley's poor defensive since the arrival of Mike Flynn continued.
