Midfielder Jimmy Ryan came through 65 minutes on his return following a hamstring injury and is expected to start once again at Vale Park.
John Mullin was ruled out against the Railwaymen due to an ankle problem and the midfielder is expected to remain on the sidelines.
Leam Richardson and Chris King are also ruled out due to long-term injury problems.
On-loan goalkeeper Alan Martin was recalled to the starting line-up against Crewe and is likely to start once again at the expense of Ian Dunbavin.
