The latest monthly instalment of £30,000 has now cleared, though, meaning manager John Coleman could dip into the loan market to bolster his squad.
The Reds have slipped out of the League Two play-off places after winning just one of their last seven outings and the boss could add new faces to his side for Saturday's trip to Underhill.
"The embargo has been lifted now," assistant manager Jimmy Bell told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"We could bring someone in before Saturday. We have been looking at a defender but we are looking at other areas too."
