STANLEY TO FACE TAMWORTH

Accrington overcame York City in the third round last Tuesday thanks to a dramatic extra-time winner. The visitors took the lead midway through the first half thanks to an Andy Bishop strike but the Reds were back on level terms when Jon Smith struck the net just before half time. The scores remained that way for the rest if the 90 minutes forcing extra time. As the end of extra time approched both sets of fans and players were preparing themselves for penaltys but up came Lee McEvilly in the final minute to hit home the winner in dramatic fashion.

So into the hat for the next round went Stanley after that 2-1 victory and john Coleman's men were handed a home tie against fellow Conference National side Tamworth.

The match was originally scheduled for 15th Debruary but due to other commitments fromTamworth's end, the match has been brought forward and will now be played at 7:45 on Tuesday 8th February.
