Prendergast
Leigh RMI 0 Accrington Stanley 6 was the score line after 90 minutes with Stanley taking all three points and moving to Stanley to 5th in the table but having played two more games than our closest rivals. Also with Rory Prendergast looking back to his best all seems to be looking better in the Stanley camp except for the injury of Mike Flynn who picked up a knock against Carlisle and sat out this game.

The Scorers for Stanley's game against Leigh RMI were Craney on 26, Mullin on 44, Howarth with a 25yard free-kick on 45, Prendergast on 45 and on 64 and finally with Craney with a tap in from a Rory Prendergast cross 75. Which

wound up a good result for the west Lancashire side which was effectively over at half time with stanley going in 4-0 up.

Another big game taking place today was the Burnley Preston derby at turf moor with Burnley not winning since April 2003 against their Lancashire rivals. With Robbie Blake scoring his 50th and 51st goal for the club whilst also scoring a 30 yard free kick which sailed straight into the top corner just before half time and also has to be nominated for one of the goals of the season. And now Burnley are now 13th in the championship table on 33 points.
