UP FOR THE CUP

Stanley take onHuddersfield in the FA Cup first round proper on Sunday in what ispromised to be the tie of the round.

The match, which is to be screened on BBC1 foranybody without a ticket, is all set to be a sell-out 4400 crowd at theInterlink Express Stadium and along the supporters will be formerBlackburn favorite David Dunn and his fiancée Sammy Winward fromEmmerdale.  Also cheering Stanley on will be former ManchesterUnited, Rovers and England star Mick Duxbury.

11 Years Of FA Cup Pain
Stanleyand ex-Burnley star Gordon Armstrong has revealed that it took him11years to get the pain of his FA Cup final defeat against Liverpool outof his system.  Armstrong, who was then playing for Sunderland, hasrevealed that he has only just watched the match on video for the firsttime since his teams 2-0 defeat by Liverpool at Wembly.

ColemanHoping For Cup Repeat
John Coleman is hoping that his Conferencebattlers can follow in their manager's tracks by breaking an FA Cuprecord.  Coleman holds the FA Cup record for the quickesthat-trick.  The striker, who is still eligible to play for Stanleyis he so wishes, scored 3 goals in just 4 minutes for Morcambe in hisplaying days.  Let all hope his new club can break this record.
