Jon Kennedy's return to action for the last 15 minutes was a real boost in a great attacking game which saw goals coming from Flitcroft, Mullin, Jagielka, in fine goalscoring form in recent weeks, and Ian Craney, who hit two.
The next round of the competition will see the Reds face slightly tougher opposition though, as John Coleman will take his team to his former club, Morcambe who beat us in the final last year
The tie will be placed of the first of February. The full draw is as follows...
Radcliffe Borough or Atherton Colls v Bamber Bridge
Morecambe v Accrington Stanley
Barrow or Fleetwood Town v Skelmersdale United
Southport V Burscough
Also in the cups, Accrington Stanley recently earned themselves a replay in the FA Trophy thirfd round. After a 0-0 home draw with Hereford United, Stanley will travel to their ground tomorrow in a match which must see one team win. Should the match be a goalless draw, extra time and penalties will follow, should Stanley score and fail to loose then the Reds will be playing either Hyde United, ex-Stanley striker Damien Hindle's new club, or Whitby Town in the fourth round.
