Among the waving Accrington flags was a flag relating to Stanley midfield star Andy Gouck, WHO LET THE GOUCK OUT read the flag being tossed about by the fans who were clearly in a buoyant mood. And Gouck's goal was truly fantastic as it beat Town 2nd choice keeper Phillip Senior just 2 minutes after he had come on as a sub on 90 minutes.
The goal could not have come at a better time or in a better match. The BBC1 TV crew were all there as the fans went wild live on Match Of The Day and Gouck became Stanley's FA Cup hero. The match was looking like ending 0-0 until Mullin headed back to Gouck who, after chesting the ball down, hit a long-range ball into the back of the net.
Let face it, if the match had gone back to the McAlpine stadium then Accrington would not have much hope so, on behalf of all Stanley fans and most of Lancashire, WE LOVE YOU ANDY!
