Paul Mullin scored two goals to help Accrington Stanley to a morale-boosting win against fellow play-off contenders Barnet.
Both teams are in FA Cup action next week, but it is Stanley who are going into it on the back of three points.
Mullin scored the first just three minutes after the interval, after chances were limited in the first half.
A Rory Prendergast inswinging corner was headed goalwards by Jonathan Smith, the keeper saved it but it came out to Smith again, who set up Mullin for an easy goal.
Prendergast continued to cause problems with some superb crosses from the left wing, but it was Mullin who made it two on 61 minutes.
The Stanley striker got the ball on the edge of the area, turned and chipped it over the keeper for his 13th goal of the season.
Barnet did threaten with a series of corners and Prendergast had to save one effort off the line, while Chris Plummer headed over twice.
But in the end it was Stanley who took the three points to keep them in the hunt for a play-off place.
Boss John Coleman said: "I am delighted with the win. We pushed three upfront in Lutel James, Rory and Paul Mullin after the break and we caused them problems.
"I thought Paul was outstanding, but my whole team did well.
"We have showed no respect to any of the teams near the top and I thought we played well in the second half. I told the lads to concentrate and they have done well." Barnet boss Martin Allen, who is taking his team to watch Blood Brothers in the West End on Monday night ahead of their FA Cup game against Yeovil, felt his side should have got something from the game.
"I think we had more chances in the game but we didn't manage to convert our opportunities.
"But I am happy with where we are now at the halfway point of the season, and I hope our fans are too."
