Accrington Stanley finished their season in style with a 2-1 victory at home to Tamworth.
John Coleman's team had Andy Todd and Ian Craney to thank for their goals, although Kyle Storer netted a 90th minute penalty for the visitors. But Stanley were always in control and were left to savour a special triumph which has seen them top the Conference for most of the season.
However, it was Tamworth who started better and on 11 minutes Graham Ward fired wide for the visitors.
On 33 Matthew Williams forced Accrington Stanley keeper Rob Elliot to make a smart stop, before Accrington Stanley had a good chance on 34 minutes but Romauld Boco fired over.
On the stroke of half-time Michael Welch headed over for the hosts before the restart saw substitute Andy Mangan have a shot saved by keeper Sean Bowles.
With 58 minutes gone Paul Mullin headed wide of the target and on the hour mark Storer had a shot saved.
But then the first goal came from Todd who, with a turn of pace, slipped through Tamworth's defence and beat a despairing dive from Bowles.
Five minutes later the lead was doubled when Craney struck and moments later Peter Folkes fired wide when he should have done much better.
In the last minute Mangan had a shot saved before Stanley lost Peter Cavanagh for a deliberate handball. Storer didn't miss from the spot but his goal was just a consolation as Stanley celebrated their title triumph.
