Having already beaten the Shrimps twice this season this was a match for Stanley to keep the pride of Lancashire in Accrington.
Stanley got off to a good start and Roberts managed to get a good cross into the Morcambe penalty area but Mullin's headed shot was saved well by Robinson.
Another mistake from Crichton and once again the ball was flying over his head as the former Norwich stopper dropped what seemed like an easy save straight to Curtis who made no mistake in chipping the Stanley goalkeeper to give the visitors the lead.
Stanley could have replied when Brown was fowled inside the Morcambe penalty area but the referee saw differently to everyone in the ground and awarded a free kick on the edge of the area which wsa miserably wasted.
Approching half time and the Shrimps were still in the lead at 1-0 but to be fair Stanley didn't deserve to be loosing nad on 35 minutes Lee McEvilly got his head onto Peter Cavanagh's cross and headed in the Accrington

If the former Northern Ireland international was now the Accrington Staney hero he was soon to fall from hero to zero as he was sent off just before half time for an elbow on on loan Preston North End defender Darren Kempson- who played for Stanley on loan earlier in the season.
The second half was not the best 45 minutes of football you will see this season to say the least with both teams defending desperatly to avoid getting beat.
Prendergast had a half-chance to score but it was Paul Mullin who finally did give the home team the lead. Prendergast crossed the ball in from the left and for the second time Robinson was beat by a good firm header.
Stanley looked to have the three points in the bag but five minutes from time Morcambe hit the ball into the back of the net but to Crichton, Coleman, and every Stanley fan's relief the referee blw his whistle to disallow the goal and award Stanley a free-kick for handball.
So the final whistle went with the pride remaining in Accrington and it is now three wins over the Shrimps this season.
