AcAccrington Stanley extended their unbeaten run to ten games as they push for a place in the Conference play-offs.
Paul Mullin opened the scoring for Stanley on four minutes after he tapped home a Lutel James cross.
And Stanley made it 2-0 on 14 minutes when a Paul Cook short free-kick was fired low into the net from 20 yards out by Peter Cavanagh.
But bottom club Farnborough were back in it when Billy Beall scored a spectacular 25-yard goal from the edge of the area which curled straight into the net beyond the diving Jon Kennedy.
Farnborough tried their luck from long range, but were unable to get past Kennedy.
After the break, it was all Stanley, but Farnborough keeper Mark Osborn denied Andy Proctor and Rory Prendergast.
Then on 64 minutes, James with fouled in the area by Ken Charlery and the Stanley striker converted the spot-kick.
Charlery was then sent off for his second bookable offence to add to Farnborough's misery.
Town have now not won in 14 league games this season, but boss Tommy Taylor was determined to fight on.
